Estes cap\u00edtulos s\u00e3o subunidades t\u00e9cnicas da se\u00e7\u00e3o IEEE Sul Brasil, Regi\u00e3o 9. O Instituto de Engenheiros Eletricistas e Eletr\u00f4nicos (IEEE) \u00e9 a maior organiza\u00e7\u00e3o profissional mundial e atualmente possui mais de 465.000 membros em mais de 160 pa\u00edses. A miss\u00e3o nuclear da IEEE \u00e9 promover a inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica e a excel\u00eancia para o benef\u00edcio da humanidade. Os cap\u00edtulos da IEEE s\u00e3o agentes de conex\u00e3o local para os mais variados recursos dispon\u00edveis de suas 39 sociedades t\u00e9cnicas, que v\u00e3o desde a nanotecnologia at\u00e9 a engenharia aeroespacial. Dentre as atividades promovidas pelos cap\u00edtulos pode-se incluir palestras, workshops, confer\u00eancias e semin\u00e1rios, bem como atividades sociais e assistenciais.
