Eng.<\/h5>\n<h6>Treasurer<\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:joaomlenz@gmail.com\">joaomlenz@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Has received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineer from the Federal University of Santa Maria in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He is currently working towards his Doctorate degree at Power Electronics and Control Research Group (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ufsm.br\/gepocufsm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GEPOC<\/a>), with an interest in optimization techniques and reliability for power electronics design. He received the B.S. degree from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Santa Maria, Brazil, in 1981 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florian\u00f3polis, Brazil, in 1984 and 1994, respectively, all in electrical engineering. Since 1985, he has been a Professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria, where, in 1987, he founded the Power Electronics and Control Research Group (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ufsm.br\/gepocufsm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GEPOC<\/a>). From 2001 to 2002, he joined the Center for Power Electronics Systems (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpes.vt.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CPES<\/a>), Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vt.edu\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Virginia Tech<\/a>), Blacksburg, where he performed his postdoctoral and researches on distributed power system. He has authored more than 100 technical papers published in the proceedings of national and international conferences.
