Essa t\u00e9cnica, que utiliza catalisadores \u00e0 base de carbono, est\u00e1 mostrando resultados not\u00e1veis na transforma\u00e7\u00e3o eficiente de subst\u00e2ncias poluentes, abrindo portas para um futuro mais limpo e saud\u00e1vel. Os catalisadores \u00e0 base de carbono demonstraram ser altamente eficazes na acelera\u00e7\u00e3o desses processos de degrada\u00e7\u00e3o, oferecendo uma alternativa promissora aos m\u00e9todos convencionais, que comumente envolvem metais que podem resultar em efeitos potencialmente t\u00f3xicos, anulando os prop\u00f3sitos iniciais.<\/p>\n<p>Na pr\u00f3xima quinta-feira, dia 22\/02\/2024, ser\u00e3o defendidos no Audit\u00f3rio P\u00e9rcio Reis do Centro de Tecnologia da UFSM dois projetos a n\u00edvel de mestrado e doutorado focados no desenvolvimento e otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o de carbocatalisadores sustent\u00e1veis. Os projetos foram conduzidos pelo Grupo de Pesquisa em Engenharia de Processos Adsortivos e Catal\u00edticos (ENGEPAC), orientados pelo Prof. Dr. Guilherme Luiz Dotto. Isso poderia revolucionar a maneira como lidamos com a polui\u00e7\u00e3o em ecossistemas aqu\u00e1ticos e terrestres.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Entender os mecanismos sin\u00e9rgicos e catal\u00edticos \u00e9 a chave <\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Durante 4 anos, a aluna do PPGQ Yasmin Vieira investigou como usar estruturas de carbono para melhorar a efici\u00eancia de degrada\u00e7\u00e3o catal\u00edtica de f\u00e1rmacos em sistemas irradiados por micro-ondas. Os resultados mostraram que a estrutura da fonte carbon\u00e1cea influencia extensivamente na efici\u00eancia do processo. O estudo aponta que a carbocat\u00e1lise n\u00e3o apenas acelera a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o de poluentes, mas tamb\u00e9m reduz a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de subprodutos t\u00f3xicos, proporcionando uma abordagem mais segura e eficiente. A aluna de mestrado do PPGEQ Larissa Crestani, demonstrou isso em sua pesquisa, ao focar na dopagem de res\u00edduos previamente carbonizados da casca de arroz. O estudo revelou o aprimoramento das propriedades catal\u00edticas e adsortivas desses materiais, destacando o potencial para contribuir significativamente na resolu\u00e7\u00e3o de problemas ambientais.
