The Federal University of Santa Maria (Brasil) has launched a call for Academic Visitors for the minimum duration of six months and maximum duration of two years, renewable up to two more years.
The successful candidate, foreigners are very welcome, will perform research in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in the fields of Algebra, Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology or Applied Differential Equations. In addition, the position comes with a teaching duty amounting of 4 contact hours (180 minutes) per week at the Mathematics Pos-Graduation Program during the teaching period (30 to 34 weeks per year).
Required Qualifications are:
– doctoral degree in for at least five years
– teaching experience of at least three years,
– relevant scientific production in the last five years in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in the fields of Algebra, Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Biology or Applied Differential Equations
Salary and conditions
Salary is according to Brazilian salary scale “Titular” (Professor), approx. net salary R$13,500 Brazilian Reais (approx. EUR 3,800 or US$ 4,000) per month.
The position will be held full-time.
