Permitindo o acoplamento com v\u00e1rias t\u00e9cnicas, como RMN, ICP-MS e outras. Inicialmente alguns desafios no acoplamento das t\u00e9cnicas tiveram que ser superados devido as condi\u00e7\u00f5es espec\u00edficas de press\u00e3o e temperatura do fluido supercr\u00edtico. A t\u00e9cnica MSI \u00e9 muito vers\u00e1til, nela \u00e9 poss\u00edvel visualizar mol\u00e9culas bidimensionais, compostos end\u00f3genos, drogas, lip\u00eddios, prote\u00ednas, pept\u00eddeos, sistema de libera\u00e7\u00e3o de drogas em tecido biol\u00f3gicos, entre outros.
