The student visa is for a term of one year and is provided by the Brazilian government representation. The documentation depends on each country. We suggest the student get information from the closest Brazilian government representation to find out the requirements in their country. To consult the list of Brazilian government representations, please access <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/mre\/pt-br\/assuntos\/representacoes\/representacoes-brasileiras-no-exterior\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this link<\/a>. In general, the documentation includes\u00a01) two copies of the fulfilled and signed registration; 2) a passport; 3) a declaration of the Brazilian education institution stating the student is accepted or registered; 4) a financial responsibility term provided by the responsible office, in case of scholarship students, or by the person responsible for the student; 5) parent\u2019s authorization, if underage; 6) criminal background checks and 7) a certificate of transportation means to enter and leave the national territory.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph \/--><!-- wp:paragraph \/--><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9702\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Social Security Number (Cadastro de Pessoas F\u00edsicas - CPF)<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9702\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9702\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p>The social security number (CPF) may be arranged in the home country or in Brazil. To get it in the home country, according to the Federal Revenue, the person\u00a0interested in obtaining the CPF inscription must follow the steps: 1) fulfill the electronic form in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, available on the Federal Revenue <a href=\"http:\/\/www.receita.fazenda.gov.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, and print it; 2) submit the registration form, along with\u00a0copies of personal documentations, to a Brazilian government representation to complete the application; 3) wait for the Brazilian government representation to process the application and provide information on the CPF registration. If there&#8217;s a discrepancy, the application will be sent to the Federal Revenue for analysis. You can check the progress of the application on the Federal Revenue website in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. After 90 days, obtain the CPF registration certificate. If there are errors in the registration data, request corrections free of charge.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-9703\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Identification Number (RNE)<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-9703\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-9703\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><p>The identification number (Registro Nacional de Estrangeiro &#8211; RNE) must be arranged after the arrival in Brazil, following the steps: 1) schedule a visit for the Federal Policy, either by phone at +55 (55) 32189000 or in person at 1361 Vale Machado Street, downtown, from 8 to 11 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday; 2) access the Federal Policy&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/pf\/pt-br\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, fulfill and print the form and generate the payment document; 3) pay the fee; 4) go to the Federal Policy in the scheduled time, taking the a)&nbsp;printed form; b) payment certification; c) original passport and copies of its first pages (with personal information, entrance stamp and visa); d) entrance and exit cards (original and copy) provided by the Federal Police upon entering Brazil; e) two colored 3&#215;4 photos with a white background; f) original visa application form (filled out at the Brazilian government representation in the home country). If there are erasures or abbreviated names, present the Consular Registration from the home country in Brazil (in Portuguese or translated by an official sworn translator).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Attention: the fee for the emission of the RNE, classified as temporary or permanent, is R$ 204.77. This corresponds to the emission of the first copy, as well as of the substitution or renovation. To ask for a second copy (in case of loss or theft), it is necessary to pay the fee corresponding to the 140139 code, which is R$ 502.78.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Observation: refugees and citizens from countries that are members of the Community of Countries of Portuguese Language (CPLP) &#8211;
