Bas\u00edlica da Medianeira<\/b><\/h4>

The Nossa Senhora Medianeira Basilica, named after Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces, attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and devotees every second Sunday of November. The Medianeira Festival in Santa Maria began in 1930 and statewide pilgrimages began in 1943. The Basilica\u2019s sanctuary was inaugurated in 1985. The stained-glass windows depict Marian biblical motifs as well as the devotion to Our Lady Mediatrix in Santa Maria. The High Altar is covered with fossilized wood from the town of Mata. At the center of the presbytery, the image of the Holy Trinity is visible, emphasizing the Risen Christ.<\/p>

Cal\u00e7ad\u00e3o Salvador Isaia<\/strong><\/h4>

This open-air promenade is an excellent option for leisure, shopping, and gatherings. The area features shops, bars, restaurants, a shopping mall, and various gastronomic and cultural options. It is conveniently located in the city center, on Dr. Bozano Street.<\/p>

Itaimb\u00e9 Park<\/strong><\/h4>

This greenway is the most well-known park in the city, serving as a hub for social integration and leisure. The parks amenities include several sports facilities, a Multiuse Center, and an Amphitheatre.<\/p>

Nossa Senhora da Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Diocesan Cathedral<\/span><\/h4>

Inaugurated in 1909, the facade features an eclectic style, incorporating architectural elements from various periods in art history, particularly the Baroque and Neoclassical eras. Inside, it is enriched with works by the Italian painter Aldo Locatelli. It is located at 821 Rio Branco Avenue.<\/span><\/p>

Nossa Senhora das Dores Church<\/strong><\/h4>

Inaugurated in 1936, the facade of the Nossa Senhora das Dores Church features a beautiful sculpture of Christ with open arms. The architectural design combines elements from medieval Italy and aspects of Baroque art. The church’s interior paintings are by the artist Lazzarini. It is located at 304 Nossa Senhora das Dores Avenue.<\/p>

Santa Maria Air Base (BASM)<\/b><\/h4>

Established in 1970, the Santa Maria Air Base is a prominent landmark in the local landscape, known for its strong integration with the community. It hosts two major annual events for the public: the Sentinela Mateada in May and the Aeronautical Exhibition (EXPOAER) in October, one of the largest aeronautical events in southern Brazil. The base is located at RST 287, Camobi neighborhood, km 12.<\/p>

Theatro Treze de Maio<\/b><\/h4>

Inaugurated in 1890, Theatro Treze de Maio showcases a Neoclassical architectural style and has been extensively restored, remodeled, and expanded. The theater is maintained by the Friends of Theatro Treze de Maio Association and hosts numerous theatrical performances, dance shows, music recitals, and more. It is located in Pra\u00e7a Saldanha Marinho, in the city center.<\/p>

Vila Belga<\/strong><\/h4>

Built in the early 20th century to house employees of the Belgian railway company the Vila Belga (literally Belgian Village) was one of the first housing complexes in the state. The eclectic architecture of the 84 houses, featuring Art Nouveau elements decorating the facades, brought reflections of the French \u201cBelle \u00c9poque\u201d to Santa Maria. It is part of the so-called Railway Zone, along with Manoel Ribas School and the Railway Station, listed as Historical and Artistic Heritage of Rio Grande do Sul. Vila Belga is located at the end of Rio Branco Avenue.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
