The Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) periodically issues\u00a0a simplified call for the admission of international students to its graduate programs<\/span>. Currently. a\u00a0total of\u00a033 openings in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Master\u2019s programs<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a022 openings in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Doctoral (PhD) programs\u00a0<\/span>are available across nine participating\u00a0<\/span>graduate programs.\u00a0<\/span>The selection process will take place in 2026, while course activities are scheduled to begin in 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Selection Process: Simplified and conducted entirely remotely
\u2022 Requirements: Submission of a CV, a reference or presentation letter, and participation in an online interview
\u2022 Language Proficiency: Portuguese proficiency is not required for admission, but it is mandatory for graduation
\u2022 Start Dates: Course activities may begin in March or August 2027<\/p>\n

Costs and Financial Support:
<\/strong>It is important to note that admission does not guarantee any financial support. Although a limited number of stipends or scholarships may be available depending on the program, these are highly competitive, While UFSM does not charge tuition or fees<\/b>, students are still responsible for covering travel, health insurance, and living expenses. The candidadates should be prepared to fully fund such expenses in order to submit their application.<\/p>\n
