Continuing the successful mission in China, Vice President Martha Adaime and the representative of the International Affairs Office, Daniela do Canto, have been actively engaging with Chinese institutions, fostering collaborations and strengthening UFSM’s global presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the mission was the Vice President’s participation in the International Seminar on Global Governance at Guangdong University of Technology<\/a> (GDUT), on November 11. Delivering a presentation in English to various Chinese universities, she explored the role of UFSM in global economic governance. The event provided a platform for in-depth discussions on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to environmental and financial issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday, November 12, as a special guest at GDUT’s 65th-anniversary celebration, Vice President Martha attended a grand ceremony where a cooperation agreement with UFSM was signed. In this event, Professor Martha could also solidify a strategic partnership for UFSM with Ambassador Alan Sellos, Consul General of Brazil in Guangdong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the experience, Martha emphasized the impressive aspects of Chinese culture, particularly in education and collaboration. She highlighted “the sense of mutual collaboration and everyone understanding that they are parts of a whole and contribute to a final product. The sense of belonging is something that seems fundamental in the processes here.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday, November 13, Martha and Daniela were received at Jinan University<\/a>. The University scheduled a personal visit next year to UFSM to sign future agreements. The mission’s agenda includes a visit to South China Agricultural University<\/a> on Wednesday, November 15, an institution with which UFSM already has an agreement. Martha will be welcomed by the Vice President of the institution. On Thursday, November 16, she is scheduled to meet with the President of the University of Hong Kong<\/a>, further strengthening ties between UFSM and Chinese universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice President Martha expressed the importance of the mission, stating, “Certainly, after the signing of two more agreements, totaling six, we have strengthened important ties for our UFSM.” She remains honored to represent the university and is optimistic about the potential for academic and scientific growth between Brazil and China. “Academically and scientifically, Brazil and China have a lot of potential for mutual growth, respecting both cultures; the result can only be positive,” she commented.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
