2014-2018<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><u>Vari\u00e1veis:<\/u> precipita\u00e7\u00e3o, vaz\u00e3o, concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de\nsedimentos em suspens\u00e3o e&nbsp; qualidade de\n\u00e1gua.<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><u>Principais caracter\u00edsticas:<\/u> Seis encostas pareadas de\n0,5 ha e duas bacias de ordem zero pareadas com 2,4ha utilizadas na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de\ngr\u00e3os sob plantio direto com o mesmo tipo de solo e topografia para an\u00e1lise dos\nefeitos de diferentes manejos do escoamento superficial e controle da eros\u00e3o. <\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><u>Objetivos principais:<\/u><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&#8211; Quantificar a o impacto do plantio diretos nas perdas de \u00e1gua, sedimentos, nutrientes e pesticidas grandes bacias representativas do planalto e do rebordo do planalto;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Avaliar a efici\u00eancia das pr\u00e1ticas conservacionistas no controle da eros\u00e3o e na redu\u00e7\u00e3o da transfer\u00eancia de sedimentos e contaminantes aos recursos h\u00eddricos;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Aprimorar t\u00e9cnicas de tra\u00e7agem de sedimentos em grandes bacias considerando uma bacia homog\u00eanea (Rio Concei\u00e7\u00e3o) e uma bacia heterog\u00eanea (Rio Guapor\u00e9);<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Desenvolvimento de estudos relacionando a din\u00e2mica de sedimentos entre a bacia vertente (eros\u00e3o) e a calha fluvial (produ\u00e7\u00e3o de sedimentos);<\/p><p>&#8211; Avaliar a efici\u00eancia das pr\u00e1ticas conservacionistas implantadas no controle da eros\u00e3o e na redu\u00e7\u00e3o da transfer\u00eancia de sedimentos e contaminantes aos recursos h\u00eddricos;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">&#8211; Runoff water connects the eroded sediments and other pollutants from the landscape to water bodies, and accelerated erosion in fragile areas can cause negative effects both on- and off-site. Using the tools of environmental monitoring, we are planning to describe how water flows connect the landscape to the streams, and how sediments and solutes are transported to the river channel in water basins in Southern Brazil. The main objectives of this cooperation project are to describe and quantify the hydrological processes acting on erosion to understand the processes of mobilization and transfer of sediments. The different methodologies used will explore a headwater catchment by monitoring runoff, suspended sediment, nutrient and pesticides concentrations, and estimating the main fine sediment sources to comprehend the impact of its agricultural land use on these transfers. The project will be carried out in a small experimental catchment (Guarda Mor river catchment \u2013 18.5 km2), but also in a large water basin (Uruguay river with 200 000 km2) located in southern Brazil, northern Argentina and western Uruguay based on dating and tracing studies of sediments deposited in the Salto Dam reservoir.
