Neri Paniz, professor do Centro de Ci\u00eancias Naturais e Exatas da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), explica que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de sab\u00e3o \u00e9 uma das rea\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas <\/span><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-46d190eb-7fff-89ee-a4e2-b25e2e2e2b72\">mais <\/span>antigas <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">existentes no mundo. O \u00f3leo de soja, utilizado na cozinha, \u00e9 um exemplo de \u00e1cido graxo que pode ser reutilizado para a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de sab\u00e3o. Essa forma de reutiliza\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m contribui com o meio ambiente. Se n\u00e3o for descartado corretamente, o \u00f3leo pode entupir tubula\u00e7\u00f5es e poluir a \u00e1gua. Isso ocorre porque o \u00f3leo de cozinha \u00e9 uma mistura de subst\u00e2ncias que n\u00e3o se dissolvem na \u00e1gua. Ele \u00e9 apolar, e a \u00e1gua, polar, o que significa que s\u00e3o subst\u00e2ncias opostas. Assim, sempre que essa gordura entra em contato com a \u00e1gua, eles ficam separados em virtude da diferen\u00e7a de densidade. Isso significa que, al\u00e9m do \u00f3leo de cozinha, outras gorduras &#8211; como a animal, tamb\u00e9m podem ser aproveitadas. Segundo o docente, a banha do porco, do boi e do carneiro constituem a segunda mat\u00e9ria-prima mais utilizada. A mistura do \u00f3leo vegetal e da gordura animal \u00e9 recomendada para produzir um sab\u00e3o consistente. Antes de iniciar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 importante lembrar de colocar os \u00f3culos de prote\u00e7\u00e3o, as luvas e a m\u00e1scara para tornar o processo mais seguro. Para que isso ocorra, primeiro \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio hidrolisar a gordura, ou seja, quebrar as mol\u00e9culas, por isso o \u00f3leo \u00e9 misturado com a soda c\u00e1ustica. Com essa a\u00e7\u00e3o, ocorre de forma natural a separa\u00e7\u00e3o do glicerol e de um material que est\u00e1 pronto para virar sab\u00e3o. Um deles \u00e9 feito pelo <\/span><b><a style=\"text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ufsm.br\/pro-reitorias\/pre\/observatorio-de-direitos-humanos\/\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #1155cc;background-color: transparent;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: underline;vertical-align: baseline\">Observat\u00f3rio de Direitos Humanos da UFSM<\/span><\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">, em parceria com a Penitenci\u00e1ria Estadual de Santa Maria (Pesm) e a Superintend\u00eancia dos Servi\u00e7os Penitenci\u00e1rios (Susepe). O projeto \u00e9 <\/span>realizado desde 2016. Em junho deste ano, o projeto fez uma a\u00e7\u00e3o de<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> coleta do \u00f3leo em alguns pontos da cidade, como o Shopping Royal. O \u00f3leo arrecadado foi enviado ao pres\u00eddio, onde apenados<\/span> fazem a <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">produ\u00e7\u00e3o de sab\u00e3o. Segundo Victor De Carli Lopes, respons\u00e1vel pelo Observat\u00f3rio, esse conv\u00eanio foi pensado para levar a\u00e7\u00f5es de extens\u00e3o \u00e0s penitenci\u00e1rias, e os presos tamb\u00e9m receberam oficinas que ensinavam como produzir o sab\u00e3o. Ele destaca que campanhas como essa s\u00e3o uma forma de pensar na ressocializa\u00e7\u00e3o dos apenados e de mobilizar a comunidade e os acad\u00eamicos para os cuidados com o meio ambiente. A cada garrafa de \u00f3leo doada para a campanha, o doador recebe uma barra de sab\u00e3o. Segundo Victor, mais edi\u00e7\u00f5es da campanha ser\u00e3o realizadas em breve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.38;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Outro projeto de arrecada\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00f3leo \u00e9 feito pelo <\/span><a style=\"text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/pt-br.facebook.com\/CAUFSM\/\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #1155cc;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: underline;vertical-align: baseline\"><b>Comit\u00ea Ambiental da UFSM<\/b>, <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">que instalou pontos de coleta na Casa do Estudante Universit\u00e1rio (CEU).
