Assinado por diversos pa\u00edses, o acordo se prop\u00f4s a controlar e banir os clorofluorcarbonos (CFCs) &#8211; subst\u00e2ncias qu\u00edmicas que estavam enfraquecendo o oz\u00f4nio na atmosfera. O Protocolo entrou em vigor em 1989 e, em 2008, foi o primeiro e \u00fanico acordo ambiental da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas (ONU) a ser ratificado por todos os pa\u00edses do mundo. Por isso, na pr\u00f3xima sexta (16), comemora-se o <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: bold;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Dia Internacional para a Preserva\u00e7\u00e3o da Camada de Oz\u00f4nio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-7942152d-7fff-a941-945d-cd481a56ba18\"><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">Conforme destaca a professora e coordenadora do Programa de Monitoramento de Oz\u00f4nio da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), Damaris Kirsch Pinheiro, a camada de oz\u00f4nio est\u00e1 localizada em uma regi\u00e3o da atmosfera &#8211; a estratosfera &#8211; que fica a aproximadamente 20 quil\u00f4metros da superf\u00edcie da Terra. Da ultravioleta B (UVB) passa uma partezinha, e \u00e9 essa que causa v\u00e1rios problemas, como c\u00e2ncer de pele, catarata e, inclusive, interfere no crescimento das plantas. Se est\u00e1 uma temperatura mais quente, vai gerar menos destrui\u00e7\u00e3o de oz\u00f4nio, porque tem menos nuvens\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">, argumenta.<\/span><\/p><p><b id=\"docs-internal-guid-51af60e2-7fff-926f-28e3-83496c7668c6\" style=\"font-weight: normal\">\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.7999999999999998;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Al\u00e9m das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, a abertura recorrente tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 resultado da excessiva emiss\u00e3o de produtos qu\u00edmicos destruidores da camada usados durante grande parte do s\u00e9culo 20, os chamados <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: bold;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">CFCs.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> Eles s\u00e3o gerados por aeross\u00f3is e aparelhos como refrigeradores de geladeiras e ares-condicionados.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b style=\"font-weight: normal\">\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.7999999999999998;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: bold;font-style: italic;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">\u201cO que est\u00e1 na atmosfera agora \u00e9 o que foi lan\u00e7ado anos atr\u00e1s. Os CFCs t\u00eam um tempo de resid\u00eancia na atmosfera muito longo, por isso ainda est\u00e3o l\u00e1. A cada ano, eles come\u00e7am a destruir a camada de oz\u00f4nio de novo. O cloro que est\u00e1 l\u00e1 vai continuar destruindo o oz\u00f4nio ano que vem e no outro ano. Por isso, a gente espera que o buraco n\u00e3o abra mais l\u00e1 pela d\u00e9cada de 60 [do s\u00e9culo 21], 2060 mais ou menos. S\u00e3o as previs\u00f5es\u201d, destaca Damaris.<\/span><\/p><p><b style=\"font-weight: normal\">\u00a0<\/b><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.7999999999999998;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">Dados da ONU, de novembro de 2018, apontam uma recupera\u00e7\u00e3o da camada de oz\u00f4nio, em partes da estratosfera, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.un.org\/pt\/story\/2018\/11\/1646172\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;vertical-align: baseline\">com taxas de 3% a 13%\u00a0 por d\u00e9cada desde 2000<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;vertical-align: baseline\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\"> O \u00f3rg\u00e3o considera que \u201co Protocolo de Montreal foi um dos acordos multilaterais mais bem-sucedidos da hist\u00f3ria\u201d. Segundo a professora Damaris, eles t\u00eam um poder de efeito estufa <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: bold;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">12 mil vezes maior <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">que os CFCs. Por conta disso, o protocolo de Montreal come\u00e7ou a monitorar a produ\u00e7\u00e3o desses gases atrav\u00e9s da <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/protocolodemontreal.org.br\/site\/quem-somos\/emenda-de-kigali\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>\u201cEmenda Kigali\u201d<\/u><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;font-weight: 400;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;text-decoration: none;vertical-align: baseline\">, que coloca os HFCs na lista de subst\u00e2ncias controladas.<\/span><\/p><p><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;color: #000000;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">Atualmente, j\u00e1 existem pesquisas com o objetivo de substitu\u00ed-los. Segundo a ONU Meio Ambiente, as na\u00e7\u00f5es que ratificaram a emenda Kigali comprometem-se a reduzir em mais de 80% a produ\u00e7\u00e3o e consumo desses gases.
