The Universidad de Antioquia, in Medellín, Colombia, invite you to participate in the Summer Course “Justice and democracy in the Colombian transition”,<\/strong> led by the Institute of Political Studies from July 24 to August 1, 2018.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
The Summer Course will offer a comprehensive understanding of what was agreed in the peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the former guerrilla Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), as well of the negotiation begun with the guerrilla Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN).<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
The topics to be addressed include territorial reorganization, rights restoration, collective reparation of victims, transformation of  institutionality, social and political participation of social actors and traditionally excluded territories, and application of novel transitional justice mechanisms in Colombia.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
This course will be offered in Spanish<\/strong> to graduate students, professionals, public officials and social leaders, foreign or national. Registration is open until June 15.<\/span><\/div>\n
