Os nutrientes atuam em diversos processos fisiol\u00f3gicos das plantas, tais como fotoss\u00edntese e respira\u00e7\u00e3o, influenciando o crescimento e produ\u00e7\u00e3o das culturas. Muitos deles s\u00e3o essenciais <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;vertical-align: baseline\">e absorvidos pelas plantas em quantidades espec\u00edficas, ou seja, sem a presen\u00e7a desses nutrientes a planta n\u00e3o completa seu ciclo<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">. A classifica\u00e7\u00e3o pode ser realizada de acordo com a propor\u00e7\u00e3o em que aparecem na mat\u00e9ria seca dos vegetais:<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.8;margin-right: -28.4pt;text-indent: 35.4pt;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">&#8211; Macronutrientes: Nitrog\u00eanio (<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;vertical-align: baseline\">N), f\u00f3sforo (P), pot\u00e1ssio (K), c\u00e1lcio (Ca), magn\u00e9sio (Mg) e enxofre (S) fazem parte de mol\u00e9culas essenciais e s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios em grandes quantidades tendo, principalmente, fun\u00e7\u00e3o estrutural.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.8;margin-right: -28.4pt;text-indent: 35.4pt;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">&#8211; Micronutrientes: Cloro (<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;vertical-align: baseline\">Cl), ferro (Fe), boro (B), mangan\u00eas (Mn), zinco (Zn), cobre (Cu) e molibd\u00eanio (Mo) fazem parte das enzimas e tem fun\u00e7\u00e3o reguladora, s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios em menores quantidades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.8;margin-right: -28.4pt;text-indent: 35.4pt;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;vertical-align: baseline\">\u00c9 importante ressaltar que essa divis\u00e3o n\u00e3o significa que um nutriente seja mais importante do que outro, apenas que s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios em quantidades e concentra\u00e7\u00f5es diferentes. Essas varia\u00e7\u00f5es nas necessidades das plantas, tanto na estrutura quanto nas caracter\u00edsticas qu\u00edmicas dos elementos, devem ser consideradas na aduba\u00e7\u00e3o, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">tornando-se poss\u00edvel atender a demanda nutricional das plantas com foco no incremento da produ\u00e7\u00e3o da cultura. Contudo, muitas vezes, a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de fertilizantes pode n\u00e3o estar satisfazendo essa demanda e, consequentemente, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o agr\u00edcola pode ser limitada.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.8;margin-right: -28.4pt;text-indent: 35.4pt;text-align: justify;margin-top: 0pt;margin-bottom: 0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;vertical-align: baseline\">A cultura do milho <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\">(<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;font-style: italic;vertical-align: baseline\">Zea mays<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: Arial;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\"> L.) refere-se a uma gram\u00ednea tropical origin\u00e1ria do M\u00e9xico, que \u00e9 o terceiro cereal mais cultivado no mundo.
