Na tarde do dia 16 de fevereiro de 2022, o Centro de Documenta\u00e7\u00e3o e Mem\u00f3ria (CDM) da UFSM – Silveira Martins recebeu pelo Prof. Luiz Fernando Cuozzo Lemos, a doa\u00e7\u00e3o do acervo fotogr\u00e1fico pertencente ao Prof. Armando Valandro.<\/p>\n

Armando Valandro foi Reitor da UFSM entre os anos de 1981 e 1985, ap\u00f3s ter entrado na Institui\u00e7\u00e3o, a convite do fundador, Mariano da Rocha, em 1962. Aposentou-se como professor e faleceu em abril de 2014, aos 94 anos de idade.<\/p>\n

Entre as realiza\u00e7\u00f5es enquanto estava \u00e0 frente da reitoria da UFSM, destacam-se a transfer\u00eancia do Hospital Universit\u00e1rio de Santa Maria (Husm) para o Campus, a cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Plano de Assist\u00eancia Social (PAS), com m\u00e9dicos e dentistas para atender alunos, e a cria\u00e7\u00e3o dos cursos de Agronomia e Medicina Veterin\u00e1ria, foi o primeiro pr\u00f3-reitor de Assuntos Estudantis e diretor do Centro de Ci\u00eancias Rurais (CCR).\u00a0 Tamb\u00e9m\u00a0exerceu a fun\u00e7\u00e3o de presidente do Clube Caixeral em Santa Maria<\/span><\/p>\n

O acervo doado ao CDM foi recebido pela Prof.\u00aa Verli F\u00e1tima Petri da Silveira (Coordenadora Substituta do CDM) e Juliana Cielo (Respons\u00e1vel pelo Arquivo). Na ocasi\u00e3o, o Prof.\u00b0 Luiz Fernando Cuozzo Lemos e o Prof.\u00b0 Jos\u00e9 Luiz de Moura Filho, assinaram o termo de doa\u00e7\u00e3o e, ao final, foi realizado um ato simb\u00f3lico de doa\u00e7\u00e3o do acervo.<\/p>\n
