a gest\u00e3o, bem como, com outros 3 desafios de relev\u00e2ncia social, o da internacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, da inclus\u00e3o social e da gest\u00e3o ambiental.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Alinhada com a vis\u00e3o institucional, de <em><strong>\u201cSer reconhecida como uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o de excel\u00eancia na constru\u00e7\u00e3o e difus\u00e3o do conhecimento, comprometida com o desenvolvimento da sociedade, de modo inovador e sustent\u00e1vel\u201d<\/strong><\/em>, a grande meta da UFSM \u00e9 consolidar-se como uma universidade de excel\u00eancia, o que forma que, os Desafios 2 \u2013 Educa\u00e7\u00e3o inovadora e transformados com excel\u00eancia acad\u00eamica, 4 \u2013 Inova\u00e7\u00e3o, gera\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento e transfer\u00eancia de tecnologia e 6 \u2013 Desenvolvimento local, regional e nacional, possuem rela\u00e7\u00e3o direta com o trip\u00e9 ensino, pesquisa e extens\u00e3o, respectivamente. J\u00e1, os Desafios, 1 &#8211; Internacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, 3 \u2013 Inclus\u00e3o Social e 7 \u2013 Gest\u00e3o Ambiental, representam aspectos que, junto aos primeiros, foram definidos no PDI 2016-2026 como os direcionadores do desenvolvimento institucional. Todos esses s\u00e3o suportados pelo quarto pilar das universidades, a gest\u00e3o universit\u00e1ria, representada pelo Desafio 5 \u2013 Moderniza\u00e7\u00e3o e desenvolvimento
