Podemos definir a microbiota como uma grande comunidade de microrganismos do bem, que auxilia o corpo humano a funcionar adequadamente: quando ela est\u00e1 saud\u00e1vel, o corpo tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1. Um deles \u00e9 a fun\u00e7\u00e3o de barreira, que evita a entrada e a coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o de agentes patog\u00eanicos externos e o estabelecimento de infec\u00e7\u00f5es. As bact\u00e9rias colonizadoras do intestino competem por espa\u00e7o e nutrientes com os microrganismos infecciosos, e algumas ainda s\u00e3o capazes de produzir toxinas que funcionam como antimicrobianos naturais. A microbiota tamb\u00e9m tem a fun\u00e7\u00e3o de \u201ceducar\u201d o sistema imune, influenciando na fun\u00e7\u00e3o das c\u00e9lulas de defesa e na regula\u00e7\u00e3o da resposta imunol\u00f3gica, sendo essencial para melhorar a imunidade local.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">No processo de digest\u00e3o, as bact\u00e9rias intestinais quebram carboidratos (a\u00e7\u00facares) e fibras para torn\u00e1-los diger\u00edveis, produzindo \u00e1cidos graxos (gorduras) que s\u00e3o essenciais para as necessidades energ\u00e9ticas do corpo. Al\u00e9m disso, regulam a a\u00e7\u00e3o de enzimas e prote\u00ednas que auxiliam a quebrar e armazenar a gordura proveniente da dieta no corpo e produzem vitaminas, como as do complexo B, e enzimas digestivas, como a lactase &#8211; necess\u00e1ria para a digest\u00e3o da lactose (a\u00e7\u00facar presente no leite).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">O intestino humano permanece em constante comunica\u00e7\u00e3o com o c\u00e9rebro (eixo intestino-c\u00e9rebro), permitindo que a microbiota influencie diretamente na fun\u00e7\u00e3o cerebral e no comportamento, em parte por ser capaz de produzir neurotransmissores como serotonina, noradrenalina e dopamina, considerados respons\u00e1veis pelos sentimentos de alegria e bom humor, auxiliando a prevenir condi\u00e7\u00f5es como depress\u00e3o e ansiedade.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">A microbiota come\u00e7a a ser formada logo ap\u00f3s o nascimento e ao longo da vida, sua composi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 influenciada principalmente por fatores relacionados \u00e0 gen\u00e9tica, h\u00e1bitos de vida, idade, estresse e uso de medicamentos. Quando h\u00e1 uma diminui\u00e7\u00e3o das bact\u00e9rias ben\u00e9ficas em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s de risco patog\u00eanico no intestino, a microbiota torna-se desequilibrada, o que a literatura chama de disbiose, favorecendo o surgimento de doen\u00e7as e problemas de sa\u00fade. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Altera\u00e7\u00f5es na microbiota desregulam o balan\u00e7o energ\u00e9tico do corpo, afetam a regula\u00e7\u00e3o de apetite, a sensibilidade \u00e0 insulina e ocasionam efeitos adversos na digest\u00e3o e absor\u00e7\u00e3o de nutrientes, podendo provocar constipa\u00e7\u00e3o, diarreia, incha\u00e7o e dist\u00farbios, como doen\u00e7a cel\u00edaca, s\u00edndrome do intestino irrit\u00e1vel e doen\u00e7a inflamat\u00f3ria intestinal, al\u00e9m de obesidade, pois h\u00e1 um aumento na absor\u00e7\u00e3o de gorduras devido \u00e0 extra\u00e7\u00e3o de energia da dieta ser intensificada, contribuindo para o ganho de peso.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Os res\u00edduos do metabolismo de certas bact\u00e9rias patog\u00eanicas prejudicam a integridade da camada de tecido que reveste o interior do intestino, podendo levar ao desenvolvimento de c\u00e2ncer. Al\u00e9m disso, h\u00e1 efeitos adversos significativos na pele, como acne e dermatite; na sa\u00fade mental, levando a uma s\u00e9rie de dist\u00farbios emocionais; no sistema cardiovascular, como hipertens\u00e3o arterial; e no sistema imune, podendo levar a quadros de inflama\u00e7\u00e3o cr\u00f4nica e doen\u00e7as autoimunes, como diabetes tipo 1 e artrite reumatoide.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Transplante de microbiota fecal, voc\u00ea j\u00e1 ouviu falar? Que a microbiota intestinal \u00e9 de suma import\u00e2ncia para a promo\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade j\u00e1 ficou claro, portanto, utiliz\u00e1-la como m\u00e9todo terap\u00eautico pode ser uma alternativa bastante vantajosa. Desde 1958, a t\u00e9cnica do transplante de microbiota fecal vem sendo estudada e empregada para tratar problemas de sa\u00fade que acreditam-se estar relacionados a uma microbiota intestinal desequilibrada. Nessa t\u00e9cnica, fezes de pacientes saud\u00e1veis s\u00e3o inseridas no intestino de doentes, por via anal ou oral, isto para que as bact\u00e9rias saud\u00e1veis tomem o lugar das causadoras de doen\u00e7as e reconstituam a microbiota local.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Entre os in\u00fameros causadores da disbiose intestinal, merecem destaque condi\u00e7\u00f5es que enfraquecem o sistema de defesa do corpo, defici\u00eancias nutricionais, consumo elevado de alimentos industrializados (ricos em gorduras e a\u00e7\u00facares), uso exorbitante de laxantes, consumo de \u00e1lcool, e o indiscriminado uso de medicamentos antimicrobianos, tendo em vista que estes n\u00e3o s\u00e3o capazes de distinguir a popula\u00e7\u00e3o de bact\u00e9rias patog\u00eanicas das ben\u00e9ficas, levando a uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o de ambas.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;text-indent: 36.0pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Portanto, tendo em vista sua import\u00e2ncia, devemos manter nossa microbiota sempre saud\u00e1vel. Para isso, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio adotar bons h\u00e1bitos, praticar exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico, consumir alimentos ricos em fibras, isso inclui frutas, verduras e cereais integrais, controlar o estresse e acrescentar na dieta alimentos prebi\u00f3ticos (cont\u00eam ingredientes que estimulam a atividade dos microrganismos ben\u00e9ficos do intestino) e probi\u00f3ticos (cont\u00eam microrganismos ben\u00e9ficos vivos que equilibram a popula\u00e7\u00e3o microbiana no intestino), como iogurte, kombucha, kefir e chucrute.
