O curso ser\u00e1 ministrado em\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #4e4e4e\">Ingl\u00eas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"pt\">WetQual \u00e9 um modelo que simula processos hidrol\u00f3gicos, bem como N, P, s\u00f3lidos em suspens\u00e3o (SST) e ciclos de C e sua din\u00e2mica em \u00e1reas \u00famidas naturais e constru\u00eddas (Hantush et al. 2013; Kalin et al. 2013; Sharifi et al. 2013, 2015, 2017). O modelo foi desenvolvido por meio de uma colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de pesquisa conjunta entre a Auburn University (Dr. L. Kalin) e o Escrit\u00f3rio de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento da EPA dos EUA (Dr. Mohamed M. Hantush). O WetQual divide um p\u00e2ntano em tr\u00eas compartimentos b\u00e1sicos: (1) coluna de \u00e1gua (livre), (2) camada de solo do p\u00e2ntano, que \u00e9 subdividida em zonas aer\u00f3bias e anaer\u00f3bias, e (3) biomassa vegetal (Hantush et al., 2013). O modelo simula a din\u00e2mica do oxig\u00eanio e o impacto das condi\u00e7\u00f5es de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o e redu\u00e7\u00e3o na transforma\u00e7\u00e3o e remo\u00e7\u00e3o do nitrog\u00eanio, e aproxima a precipita\u00e7\u00e3o do f\u00f3sforo e sua libera\u00e7\u00e3o em formas sol\u00faveis sob condi\u00e7\u00f5es aer\u00f3bias e anaer\u00f3bias, respectivamente. Os processos nas \u00e1guas superficiais e na camada inferior ativa do solo s\u00e3o descritos por um sistema de equa\u00e7\u00f5es diferenciais ordin\u00e1rias acopladas (Hantush et al., 2013). O modelo \u00e9 executado em uma escala de tempo di\u00e1ria, enquanto o modelo divide internamente o intervalo de tempo de um dia em um intervalo de tempo menor para integra\u00e7\u00e3o num\u00e9rica.<br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"pt\">Existem tr\u00eas vers\u00f5es diferentes do modelo: (1) ponderado e concentrado (Hantush et al. 2013; Kalin et al. 2013); (2) ponderado e compartimentado (Sharifi et. Al. 2015); e (3) variavelmente saturado (Sharifi et. al. 2017): O Modelo # 1 divide uma \u00e1rea \u00famida em tr\u00eas compartimentos b\u00e1sicos: (i) coluna de \u00e1gua (livre), (ii) camada de solo \u00famida (que \u00e9 posteriormente dividida em zonas aer\u00f3bias e anaer\u00f3bicas) e (iii) biomassa vegetal. O modelo # 2 melhora a resolu\u00e7\u00e3o espacial do modelo # 1 para ajudar os usu\u00e1rios a capturar a variabilidade espacial quando zonas ativas e passivas est\u00e3o presentes em um p\u00e2ntano. Os modelos n\u00ba 1 e n\u00ba 2 s\u00e3o adequados para modelar a din\u00e2mica dos nutrientes em \u00e1reas \u00famidas em lagoas cont\u00ednuas, ou seja, eles n\u00e3o rastreiam o conte\u00fado de \u00e1gua e nutrientes fora da parte em lagoas das \u00e1reas \u00famidas. Entender como eles afetam o WQQ \u00e9 de suma import\u00e2ncia quando \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio prever o estado futuro dos recursos h\u00eddricos sob mudan\u00e7as nas condi\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas e LULC. O Centro de Estudos Ambientais da Interface Urbana-Rural (CESURI) da Auburn University envolve estudantes, pesquisadores e partes interessadas em esfor\u00e7os interdisciplinares para esclarecer a influ\u00eancia da urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o nas paisagens rurais. Neste semin\u00e1rio, vou resumir alguns dos projetos passados e atuais em que estive envolvido com o CESURI e apresentar as principais descobertas para lan\u00e7ar luz sobre o nexo LULC \/ Clima-WQQ. Depois de apresentar as tend\u00eancias de LULC passadas, presentes e futuras no sudeste dos EUA, darei exemplos espec\u00edficos de estudos sobre o nexo LULC-Clima-WQQ: (i) As rela\u00e7\u00f5es espaciais podem explicar a din\u00e2mica temporal ?, (ii) Impactos sin\u00e9rgicos de LULC e mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, (iii ) Mudan\u00e7a de LULC e fluxos ecologicamente relevantes, (iv) Impactos da mudan\u00e7a de LULC no funcionamento das zonas h\u00famidas de cabeceira, (v) Nexo LUCC\u00e0WQQ + Climate\u00e0West Nile Virus.
