Dr. Arci Dirceu Wastowski, do Departamento de Ci\u00eancias Agron\u00f4micas e Ambientais, da UFSM, Campus Frederico Westphalen &#8211; RS, aprovou em novembro de 2014 o projeto \u201cTransforma\u00e7\u00e3o e uso da lignina, res\u00edduo da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de papel, como um agente floculante\/coagulante vegetal no tratamento do efluente da suinocultura\u201d no <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fapergs.rs.gov.br\/conteudo_puro.php?cod_conteudo=906&amp;cod_menu=35\">EDITAL FAPERGS n. 02\/2014- PROGRAMA PESQUISADOR GA\u00daCHO \u2013 PqG<\/a>. Este projeto tem por objetivo da convers\u00e3o da lignina, extra\u00edda do licor negro, em um novo copol\u00edmero cati\u00f4nico vegetal por meio da rea\u00e7\u00e3o de Mannich e avaliar o desempenho deste copol\u00edmero como um novo floculante\/coagulante cati\u00f4nico no tratamento do efluente da suinocultura, afim de ap\u00f3s desinfec\u00e7\u00e3o possibilitar o reuso da \u00e1gua. Com um valor aprovado de 25.000,00, o projeto ser\u00e1 realizado nos anos de 2014 a 2016.
