Os organizadores do livro, Ervandil Corr\u00eaa Costa e Edison Bisognin Cantarelli, aprofundam temas de import\u00e2ncia nessa nova obra, que re\u00fane grandes pesquisadores da entomologia florestal do Brasil. Foram abordadas, na forma de cap\u00edtulos, as principais classes de insetos-praga que atacam povoamentos florestais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Os organizadores buscaram refer\u00eancias de pesquisadores que estudam a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o, caracter\u00edsticas morfol\u00f3gicas, comportamento e controle desses insetos-praga. Uma ampla revis\u00e3o foi realizada pelos autores de cada cap\u00edtulo, buscando atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de novas esp\u00e9cies e abordando os danos causados nos povoamentos florestais. O livro, entretanto, n\u00e3o fala somente dos preju\u00edzos, mas tamb\u00e9m dos benef\u00edcios que alguns destes insetos podem trazer.
