Power and Energy Society Chapter

The Power & Energy Society – PES Chapter is the world’s largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry. Its scope embraces, basically, the development, construction and maintenance of equipment, structures and power systems for the safe, sustainable, economic and reliable conversion, generation, transmission, distribution, storage and usage of electrical energy. There are over 200 PES chapters worldwide and the society comprise over 37,000 industry professionals, academics and students with a common interest in the electric power industry. Promoting international conferences, for example IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition (T&D) and Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference (ISGT). Also supports three huge initiatives IEEE Smart Cities, IEEE Smart Grid and IEEE Smart Village. As a PES member, you have many benefits, such as access to over 1000 technical reports, tutorials, videos and presentations and discounts at dozens of PES sponsored or co-sponsored conferences and meetings in your area and around the world. In addition, for professional development, it’s offered Plain Talk courses for power industry professionals and posting services through PES-Careers.
