The Research, Teaching and Learning of Languages at a Distance Center (NuPEAD) develops research on additional language teaching and learning, with a focus on digital technologies and multiple educational modalities, including face-to-face, blended, and distance education.
The group investigates the role of digital literacy in education, teacher training for distance learning, and the production of digital teaching materials for innovative pedagogical practices.
Research also includes the study and development of digital games as educational tools for additional language teaching, as well as the analysis of social and discursive practices in digital environments.
NuPEAD also promotes the involvement of undergraduate and graduate students in the creation of digital teaching materials and educational games, supporting both classroom use and innovative learning experiences.
