Gleisson Balen, MSc. Eng.

He received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in 2015 and 2017, respectively. He studied at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, in 2012 when he started working with chargers for electric vehicles. His master thesis is entitled “Development of a DC Fast Charge Station with Energy Storage Element for Electric Vehicles”. From 2015 to 2017 he worked as a teacher at the Technical College of Santa Maria – CTISM. He also worked in 2019 as a teacher at the Electrical Engineering degree at UFSM. He is currently researching at Power Electronics and Control Research Group (GEPOC), with an interest in electric vehicles, static converters, power electronics, system control and fast chargers for electric vehicles.

Filipe Pinarello Scalcon, MSc. Eng.

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), started in 2012 and ended in 2016. PhD student in Electrical Engineering at UFSM, starting in 2019 and expected to finish in 2023. Active participant in the Power and Control Electronics Group (GEPOC) since 08/2012. He works in research in the area of control of electrical systems and machines, having experience in controlling BLDC machines and currently focusing on control of reluctance machines.

He received his Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria – UFSM, in 2018. He is currently working towards his Master degree in Electrical Engineering at Power Electronics and Control Research Group (GEPOC), with an interest in Intelligent Algorithms applied in Control Systems Optimization Problems.

He received his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões – Campus de Erechim (URI), in 2018. He is currently working towards his Master degree in Electrical Engineering at Power Electronics and Control Research Group (GEPOC), with an interest in electric machines applied to electric vehicles.

He is currently working towards his Master degree in Electrical Engineering at Power Electronics and Control Research Group (GEPOC), with an interest in prediction of equipment using neural networks and renewable energies.

She received her Bachelor, Master, Doctoral and Post-Doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria – UFSM, respectively in 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2016. She has been a professor at UFSM since 2016, and researcher at the Power Electronics and Control Research Group (GEPOC). Her main research interests include modulation and control of multilevel converters and power electronics applied to renewable sources.
